As a Persian DJ in Toronto, I’m used to DJing at international weddings and events, but to call Arezo and Kwebena’s wedding multicultural would be an understatement!
Arezo, who is an Iranian living in England, met her now-husband Kwebena, who lives in New York and is half Jamaican and half Ghanaian. They decided to have their wedding in Toronto, which was a destination wedding for them both. As a big fan of my Persian, Reggaeton and Dancehall mixes, Arezo knew from the beginning she wanted me to be her wedding DJ. Their wedding entertainment also included MC Sean and a live wedding percussionist.

Many don’t know, but early in my DJ career, I started out DJing RnB, Hip Hop, and Dancehall, which is a huge passion of mine. So when the bride and groom requested I play these genres for their Luxury Persian wedding, it put a big smile on my face, and I couldn’t wait for their big day.
What the couple had to say
Their Persian/Jamaican wedding was held at Malaparte in Toronto and non-stop dancing ensued after their ceremony, and as a Toronto wedding DJ, nothing makes me happier.
